3rd Annual Life After Graduation: Who's Got Your Back?

Location: Mary Grett Transition Center

The purpose of this event is to provide students with disabilities and their families with information about supports and services available in their community.  Participants will gain resources that will help students navigate a successful adult life after graduation.

  • Do your students know what they need to support them in successful adulthood?
  • Do they know how and when to access needed support?

These are key components that should be addressed in transition planning for ALL of your students!

This event is for students with disabilities who are considering post-secondary education and/or competitive employment, in addition to students needing independent living options.  Self-determined young adults will find what they need to advocate for themselves after graduation from high school.

Sessions will help parents and students with disabilities understand the transition planning process and the importance of their participation.

Topics include self-determination, social security benefits information, travel training, and more.

Exhibitors will include Disability Rights Texas, Corpus Christi Regional Transportation Authority (CCRTA), Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living (CBCIL) and more.
