K-2 Problem Solving: Constructing Understanding
Grades K-2




This full-day, active, hands-on session focuses on the development of operation sense in the primary grades which is the foundation for problem solving.  Come explore instructional strategies for problem solving experiences including story mats, concrete models, exemplar problems, and open tasks.  Participants will be actively engaged in problem types and instructional strategies that will allow their students to develop the operation sense necessary for successful problem solving in the math classroom.  Learn to help your K-2 students build the confidence necessary to tackle problem solving in Grade 3 and beyond!

Important Session Information:


** DISTRICTS THAT ARE A MEMBER OF THE "CLASSROOM CONTENT" CONTRACTED SERVICE HAVE PRE-PAID FOR CONTENT TRAININGS, AND THEIR TEACHERS WILL NOT BE CHARGED WORKSHOP FEES.  However, some sessions may still include minimal fees intended to recoup costs for materials or resources provided in the session (such as resources/activity books, etc.)  Participants continue with the registration process, and the WORKSHOP fee will be waived at check-out.
