Creativity is often the missing part of a gifted curriculum.  Creativity is most often seen in Depth of Knowledge (DOK) level 3 and 4 projects.  We will explore DOK and see the relationship between DOK and TPSP. Come learn how to implement creativity in your gifted classroom and how the Texas Performance Standards Project can be an integral part of it.

*Attending to the Affect: Social and Emotional Learning of Gifted/Talented Students is a workshop that examines the social and emotional characteristics of gifted/talented students. This workshop will assist teachers as they attend to the needs of individual students. Teachers will learn to provide both physical and emotional security around student experiences, and will develop a learning environment that acknowledges the value of a students’ thoughts, beliefs, cultures, interests, and life situations regardless of individual intellectual ability
