Preventing Problem Behavior: An Emotional Regulation Relationship-Based Approach

Help design learning environments that students love and prevent problem behaviors. Problem behaviors remain one of the most difficult and stressful challenges for practitioners, parents, and persons on the autism spectrum. This full-day workshop will offer practical, respectful, and innovative ways to assess, prevent, and support problem behaviors.

  • Learn the “Bio-Psycho-Social” perspective that considers the interaction of physiological, cognitive, and social-environmental issues.
  • Infuse a developmental and relationship-based perspective to your teaching that focuses on enhancing children’s emotional regulatory abilities.
  • Help students develop positive, trusting relationships with others
