This is the first session in a series that will provide new math teachers with information and materials that are specific to the math classroom.  Of particular focus in these sessions will be expanding teachers' content knowledge, high-yield instructional strategies, planning for engagement, manipulative-based instruction, differentiation, numeracy, instructional resources, unpacking the math TEKS (including the Process Standards and the Readiness Standards), and the STAAR test.  Materials and activities experienced during the session will be ready to use immediately in the classroom.

** DISTRICTS THAT ARE A MEMBER OF THE "CLASSROOM CONTENT" CONTRACTED SERVICE HAVE PRE-PAID FOR CONTENT TRAININGS, AND THEIR TEACHERS WILL NOT BE CHARGED WORKSHOP FEES.  However, some sessions may still include minimal fees intended to recoup costs for materials or resources provided in the session (such as resources/activity books, etc.)  Participants continue with the registration process, and the WORKSHOP fee will be waived at check-out.
