The Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) is the second generation of the ADOS which is an instrument for observational assessment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Dr. Jan Schaefer with Collaborative Autism Resources and Education (CARE) will provide a 2-day workshop that will teach the autism assessment team members how to use the ADOS-2 to assess and diagnose autism. As an experienced workshop leader, Dr. Schaefer will describe the ADOS-2 and demonstrate administration and scoring which will operationalize the diagnostic criteria for ASD. Participants will have the opportunity to practice scoring while observing actual student assessment sessions on DVDs. The workshop focuses on Modules 1 through 4 and the Toddler Module.
