This session is presented by Ellen Kester, PhD; CCC-SLP Description:
This workshop will address best practices for administering standardized measures of receptive language, expressive language, pragmatic language, and articulation and phonology skills. We will review the psychometric properties of tests, discuss why the metrics differ between language tests and speech tests, discuss the meaning of sensitivity and specificity calculations, and describe what to look for when selecting a measure. We will discuss ways to interpret test results and consider the impact of cultural and linguistic diversity in the testing process. We will address the use of these tools in both face-to-face and remote formats.
This presentation is through webinar format. It will be from 9:00-12:00. You will need a computer with headphones (or good speakers) to participate.
