Kids like to play, and they learn when they play - especially when purposeful, productive struggle is included. We will teach you some easy games kids can play and some strategies you can include that will build capacity in your students to not only play independently but to also play purposefully. Your students can return to these games time and time again as they build fluency. Materials and activities experienced during the session will be ready to use immediately in the classroom - blended or traditional. Each participant will receive a resource/game book and a set of game materials.
** DISTRICTS THAT ARE A MEMBER OF THE "CLASSROOM CONTENT" CONTRACTED SERVICE HAVE PRE-PAID FOR CONTENT TRAININGS, AND THEIR TEACHERS WILL NOT BE CHARGED WORKSHOP FEES. However, some sessions may still include minimal fees intended to recoup costs for materials or resources provided in the session (such as resources/activity books, etc.) Participants continue with the registration process, and the WORKSHOP fee will be waived at check-out. This session DOES include an additional fee of $15 for a resource/activity book and a set of related game materials.
