Be prepared for the next crisis on your campus! This training is designed for all school personnel who have direct contact with students, families and staff. You will be empowered to assist students and their families following any type of crisis or disaster situation. PFA-S is an evidence-informed intervention model to assist students, families, school personnel and school partners in the immediate aftermath of a crisis, emergency or disaster. It is designed to reduce the initial and ongoing stress and to foster short- and long-term adaptive functioning and coping. PFA-S has the potential to lessen the development of severe mental health problems or long-term difficulties in recovery by identifying individuals who may need additional services and linking them to such services as needed.
PLEASE NOTE: This session will be held virtually via Zoom. Participants will need computer access with a speaker, microphone and video capability in order to fully participate. You will receive the Zoom meeting link and a reminder email a day or two before the session. If you do not receive an email confirmation after registering, please contact Darlene King at ext. 205 or at dking@esc3.net.
