This workshop is designed to provide an overview of two of the most common mental health diagnoses observed in the classroom: Depression and Anxiety. Numbers of students and school staff exhibiting symptoms have increased during the current pandemic and can be difficult to spot if the student is learning at home. Attendees will able to able to engage in a comprehensive discussion on signs and symptoms of Depression and Anxiety and what this may look like in the classroom. Attendees will increase overall knowledge, learn healthy and supportive coping strategies, and learn ways to link students and staff to services both in the school and the community.
PLEASE NOTE: This session will be held virtually via Zoom. Participants will need computer access with a speaker, microphone and video capability in order to fully participate. Participants will receive a reminder email a day or two before the session that will contain the Zoom meeting information and link.
