Important
Session
Information:
This workshop delves into how the developmental characteristics of the teenage brain impact learning (decision-making, problem-solving, impulse control, and relationships). Teachers are asked to pair high-yield strategies with results, but little time is spent explaining the impact of biology and development on teenagers emotions, learning, memory, responses, and socialization. All of these impact the abilities of teen students to focus and learn in the classroom setting. Come join our staff in exploring brain development, the influence of biology, and instructional practices that provide a learning supportive classroom environment.
