In this training, participants will be asked to work with the TSBVI Infused Skills Assessment from the EVALS kit. The Basic Skills Infused Skills Assessment is a very effective tool for analyzing the strengths and areas for growth for students with visual impairments who may also have cognitive and behavioral challenges. This assessment begins at a developmentally young, non-verbal skill level, and progresses up to higher cognitive functions, while remaining appropriate for students in life skills programming.

- Methods for creating goals and objectives for students
- Development of motivating and functional routines tied to the goals and objectives and state standards for learning (TEKS)
Session 2:

- Creating their own student profile
- Completing sections of the Infused Skills Assessment for the targeted student
- Combining the information to craft goals, objectives, and routines through group discussion
