Information:
The workshop includes how to plan a novel study, book talk, book clubs and literary circles. We will discuss how to utilize mentor text in both fiction and non-fiction to design lessons. The participants will review and develop strategies and instructional menus for utilizing the mentor text in lessons. We will discuss the benefits of these type of studies across content. We will utilize Universal Design for Learning to maximize access to this type of instruction for all learners in the classroom.
