This is a blend of current research and practical strategies to promote vocabulary acquisitions for all learners. During this session, we explore methods to scaffold learning and deeper thinking through intentional vocabulary instruction and support. We will also analyze the ELPS and consider how to best incorporate those standards in a social studies classroom to the benefit of all learners. Participants will leave with effective strategies that they can utilize immediately to supplement their current instructional practices. Laptops are required for this session.
