This 6-hour workshop focuses on Maintenance of Effort (MOE) requirements and the critical fiscal and programmatic processes needed to successfully close out both the school year and the federal grant year. Participants will gain a clear understanding of MOE eligibility standards, allowable exceptions and adjustments, and common compliance challenges. The session will also address practical strategies for tracking expenditures, reconciling local and federal funds, documenting compliance, and completing required year-end and grant closeout activities to ensure audit-ready practices.
