Texas Dyslexia Academy (TDA) 5: Screening for Dyslexia is designed to help educators and administrators understand and implement the universal screening process for dyslexia and reading development in compliance with Texas education laws. This course emphasizes: the importance of early screening to identify at-risk students promptly, state screening requirements under Texas Education Agency (TEA) guidelines, the definition and application of universal screening for dyslexia and related disorders, guidelines for administering screening instruments and interpreting results, PEIMS requirements for recording and reporting screening data, and best practices for ongoing progress monitoring to support student growth. Required for Providers of Dyslexia Instruction (PDI).
