Food Safety And Sanitation (CACFP) Iowa Park




The Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) classes will develop administrative, operational, and nutrition skills and knowledge necessary to understand and comply with the requirements of U.S. Department of Agriculture programs managed by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The goal of the CACFP is to improve and maintain the health and nutritional status of children and adults, promote development of good eating habits, and integrate nutritious food service with organized child and adult day care services.

Important Session Information:


Contracting Entities (CEs) operating any CACFP must be in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to food safety. For this section, the term food includes both food and beverage items. CEs must have written procedures for addressing food safety and sanitation.
