Spring: Nature and Needs of Gifted/Talented

This class will offer Gifted/Talented credit and is part of the G/T Foundation courses. This course is free to all districts in the Gifted/Talented Coop.
Important Session Information:
Participants will analyze the historical, legal and conceptual understandings of gifted education and the state mandates to serve these unique learners. As we discuss the learning and social needs of G/T students, we will examine the characteristics and behaviors commonly exhibited. This is a required training topic for teachers needing the initial (foundation) thirty (30) hours of professional development as well as administrators and counselors who make programmatic decisions. This course is free to all districts in the Gifted/Talented Coop.
