Language Difference or Disorder?

Current information and training for SLP personnel.
Important Session Information:

SLP participants in this session will come away with a framework that will allow for confident diagnostic decisions about clients who speak a language other than English as their first language. Participant objectives include, but are not limited to the ability to: analyze and interpret results from speech and language samples; describe expected versus unexpected errors; describe benefits of using standardized tools and informal measures; and describe the steps in working with interpreters to effectively evaluate students from other language backgrounds. This program has been approved for six clock hours of continuing education credit by the Texas Speech-Language-Hearing-Association (TSHA). TSHA approval does not imply endorsement of course content, specific products, or clinical procedures.
