Money Smart and Tax Practices




This class will combine the F.D.I.C. Money Smart program and the I.R.S. Understanding Taxes program into a comprehensive financial literacy tool for teachers. Drawing from over forty lesson plans, PowerPoint, PDF and interactive simulations, we will explore the financial rights and responsibilities people face every day. The Money Smart curriculum helps individuals build financial knowledge, develop financial confidence, and use banking services effectively. The Understanding Taxes Curriculum takes a step-by-step approach to tax preparation including who must file and how to fill out a W-4 if self- employed.
