CPI Refresher Certification Course




This workshop is for people who are seeking to RENEW their CPI certification. The Nonviolent Crisis Intervention program is a safe, non-harmful behavior management system. Participants will learn to identify the behavior levels that contribute to the development of a crisis and how to handle situations in a non-harmful way even when behavior is disruptive and out of control. This program intends to provide the best possible Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security for staff and students. Participants will need to have completed the initial training course before enrolling for this refresher. Participants will receive continued CPI certification after completion of a post-test at the end of this refresher course.

Important Session Information:


Completion of this 1 day Crisis Prevention Institute course will result in renewal of CPI certification for participants. The course emphasizes strategies for preventing the escalation of behavior, as well as strategies for addressing physically acting-out behavior should it occur. Participants must complete all day of the training in order to be certified. (Participants should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes.)
