Spinal Screening




Health Screening and Certification training for school and community personnel.

Important Session Information:


This training will prepare healthcare and school personnel to provide spinal screening to students. The purpose of this training is early detection of spinal deformities. The State of Texas mandates spinal screening for students in the 6th and 9th grades using nurses and other trained adults to screen all students. Schools may implement a program that includes screening the 5th and 8th grade as an alternative to the 6th and 9th grades. Each participant will receive a booklet during the class.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
