Connecting STEM and Literacy in Head Start/PK-K (p.m.)




This class is part of the Early Learning Week 2018.  All sessions will pertain to early learning educators:  Head Start, Pre-Kindergarten, Early Childhood, Early Elementary (up to 3rd grade).

Important Session Information:


Engage your students in STEM and literacy. Tap into their natural and innate curiosity about the living world. By allowing students to investigate and encouraging them to ask questions about the real world, you are engaging children in STEM. The activities will lead your students through the inquiry process while incorporating reading comprehension strategies and STEM skills. Be prepared for active participation in featured lessons.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
