Learning Ally: Helping Children with Reading-Related Learning Disabilities and Visual Impairments Reach Their Full Potential




Learning Ally helps children with reading-related learning disabilities and visual impairments reach their full potential. By sharing best practices with with parents and educators, much can be done to help dyslexic, blind, and visually impaired students learn to read proficiently and to leverage audio books and other aids to enrich and improve their learning.  

In this training, you will expand your toolbox of strategies for struggling readers, learn to implement innovative solutions to inspire independence, and revolutionize your classroom to effectively support students who learn differently.  Specific learning objectives include:

1.      Understanding why/how audiobooks can support reading skill development
2.      Connecting the benefits of human-read audiobooks to student outcomes
3.      Knowing the program components of the Learning Ally solution
4.      Understanding the 4 qualifying categories of eligibility
