TDIA Module 3: Considerations for English Language Learners(ALTA Credit of 6 Hours)




This state-developed Academy is comprised of five modules designed to help school districts in the identification of students with dyslexia. The modules build on each other in taking a district through the entire identification process. However, depending on participant knowledge and need, each module can serve as a stand-alone training. For this reason, each module should be registered for separately.

Important Session Information:


Module 3 is the third of five modules developed to assist schools in the identification of students with dyslexia. This training will focus on special considerations and knowledge needed when assessing a second-language learner for dyslexia. Prior training in bilingual or ESL education is not required to attend. It is recommended that participants complete Module 1 [Dyslexia Foundations] and Module 2 [Dyslexia Evaluations] prior to attending this training.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
