Going Beyond the Basics with Thinking Maps® (K-12)




Learn how to use the 8 types of Thinking Maps®.

Important Session Information:


In this follow-up session, we will begin with a refresher of the thinking behind the eight Thinking Maps® and how to recognize and create each one. We will focus on integrating each Thinking Map® into standards-based lessons to demonstrate student learning. Topics include: Frame of Reference, Multiple Map Combos, Taking Information Off the Map, Academic Vocabulary, Text Features and Structure, and Thinking Like a Mathematician. You must have previously completed a Day 1 Thinking Maps® training and have a copy of the Language for Learning manual to bring to class. The class meets requirements as a 6-hour Gifted/Talented update.
