Biology TEKS Streamlining




The State Board of Education (SBOE) adopted streamlined Science TEKS to be implemented during the 2018-2019 school year. In this session, we will take a look at how the Science TEKS have changed, how it will impact instruction, and strategies to address key vocabulary and concepts.

Important Session Information:


This workshop will provide an overview of the new BIOLOGY standards and provide TEKS-based activities from the TEA's BIOLOGY EOC Success Academy and other Biology TEKS-based activities. Participants will participate in all the activities first hand and will walk away with electronic copies of 5E lesson plans, hands-on activities, and many instructional ideas to refresh and energize your classroom using the new science standards.
