Instructional Strategies that Engage the Brain - Grades K-12




This workshop focuses on teaching and learning in the classroom.

Important Session Information:


Be prepared to actively participate as you learn how to incorporate Marcia Tate's 20 brain-compatible strategies to maximize understanding and memory to differentiate instruction at all levels. If students don't learn the way we teach them, then we must teach them the way they learn. You will learn how to increase academic achievement for all students through the use of humor, storytelling, and mnemonic devices. We will also explore research that shows why these strategies are preferable to others. We want to ensure that brains retain key concepts, not only for tests, but for life!
