STAAR-Alt and TELPAS Alt for New Alt Teachers and New Diags




This session is designed to guide teachers in understanding Curriculum Frameworks, TEKS Essence Statements and the correlating Prerequisites. Meaningful instruction must be designed for students taking the STAAR Alt 2.  You will become familiar with the test format and learn to use Instructional Decision-Making Guides to meet the needs of each of your students.  

Important Session Information:


This session will provide a requirements overview as well as instructional implications and guidance regarding the administration of the STAAR-Alt 2. This session is intended for teachers who are new to (or unsure about) giving the STAAR-Alt 2 this year. New diags are also encouraged to attend in order to have the procedural information and current requirements on this topic during ARD discussions on STAAR-Alt eligibility, etc. TELPAS Alt is a new assessment for the 2018/2019 school year, and it will also be covered during this training.
