Information:
Come take part in science investigations and field learning experiences, use role-playing and models, and play games, to make science fun and interesting as students explore the world around them. The workshop uses an integrated supplemental curriculum guide developed by Welder Wildlife Foundation to help students learn about our world and the importance of conservation. The curriculum focuses on science, integrates social studies, and uses language arts and math skills. The core TEKS are documented as appropriate with each activity. Lessons include investigations of habitat, adaptations, structures and functions, day and night, moon phases, plants, wildlife, and more. These lessons use hands-on, real life, science skills and provide activities for multiple intelligences. Students demonstrate learning through creative products and performances. Lessons embed higher order thinking skills, provide depth and complexity of learning and suggest ways to develop tiered tasks to meet the needs of all students. Please
