Administrator Training - Chapter 37 Discipline Training (HB 152)




During the Principal Share & Exchange, TEPSA and TASSP will hold their organizational meetings. Following the organizational meetings, Region 9 staff members will provide updates from various program areas to campus administrators.  Campus administrators will have the opportunity to ask questions and network with other administrators.

Important Session Information:


HB 1952 of 83rd Legislature amended TEC 37.0181 to require all principals or other appropriate administrators who oversee student discipline to receive training every three years, including the discretionary authority of a teacher to remove a disruptive student from class. This session fulfills that 3 year requirement.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
