This multi-day training is for CTE teachers (Agriculture and Craft Teachers) who have never previously been certified with NCCER through the ICTP (Instructor Craft Training Program) and have never taught the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) curriculum.
The NCCER ICTP training program provides CTE teachers with skills and credentials to turn the NCCER certification training around in their classroom to certify CTE students with nationally and internationally recognized industry ready portable credentials. Developed by industry experts and trainers, the units are competency based and contain certifications that complement the TEKS for several CTE courses in the AFNR and Architecture, Construction and Manufacturing Career Clusters.
NCCER develops standardized construction and maintenance curriculum with assessments that can be awarded to students with portable credentials. These credentials are tracked through NCCER's registry that allows business and industry organizations and companies to track the qualifications of their craft professionals and/or check the qualifications of potential new hires.
