CANCEL: Sensory Needs in the Classroom




A variety of topics will be covered during periodic Autism Academy trainings.

Important Session Information:


The primary function of our senses is to help us experience and react to our surroundings. This interactive training is designed to provide knowledge about the BIG 3 Senses, understand what sensory processing differences are and the affect they have on classroom participation and performance. Participants will learn the differences between seeking and avoiding behaviors, implementation of technology and sensory support in a fun, hands-on setting. AUDIENCE: OTs, ELEM TEACHERS, PARAS, ADMINISTRATORS

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
