WFISD staff: Prep for TExES-154 Supplemental




This training will assist future ESL educators to become familiar with the 10 competencies tested on the 154 English as a Second Language Supplemental (ESL) test.

Important Session Information:


Participants will gain insight on current practices in Second Language Acquisition, ESL methodology and a general understanding of program instruction to ensure success for English Learners. Due to special arrangement with WFISD, any participant fees are covered for this training. As of September 1, 2018 Pearson is the new vendor for Texas and you will need to register for the computer assisted exam at http://www.tx.nesinc.com/Home.aspx when planning to challenge the exam. Recommendation: Participants have attended a previous ESL Academy, recent ESL college course, or training with prior knowledge of content focusing on second language support.
