TEA/DPS Fingerprinting Update




HR Services training for 18/19

Important Session Information:


This workshop will include information for anyone who works with the fingerprinting of school district employees; even those who are very experienced working with the fingerprinting process will find this information beneficial. This session will review requirements for fingerprinting employees and substitute teachers as indicated in the Texas Education Code (TEC) Chapter 230, Subchapter C. It will include a review of the process of uploading files to initiate fingerprinting, and understanding the workings of the Educator Certification Online System (ECOS) as it relates to fingerprinting. . DPS will be discussing recent changes to the FACT Clearinghouse and Secure Site, Rap Back process, fingerprinting contractors, CJIS online training requirements, audit process, and security do's and don'ts.
