Session Detail

ACEs and Parent Engagement (am)

All sessions will be geared toward educators and administrators of early learners.  A wide variety of topics will be covered.

Important Session Information:

Adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) are potentially traumatic events, including abuse/neglect and poverty, that can have negative, lasting effects on health and well-being. Resulting toxic stress from ACEs influences family and community relationships as well as behavior and performance in school. Participants in this session will be inspired to understand ACEs and their impact on brain development, parent engagement, and academic achievement with the goal to better advocate for all children and families.
