FIRST LEGO League/ FIRST TECH Challenge (Grades 4-12) (P.M.)




K-4 Teachers AM session 4-12 Teachers PM session FIRST = For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology. FIRST in Texas Foundation supports FIRST Robotics teams and events across Texas with a focus on increasing accessibility for low-income and underrepresented students.

Important Session Information:


P.M. Only: Session for Grades 4-12 Teachers. Participants will get a hands-on experience with the thrill of LEGO robotics and the high level academic skills, social-emotional learning and just plain fun FIRST LEGO League(grades 4-8) and FIRST Tech Challenge (grades 7-12) programs bring to the classroom and out of school time learning spaces. Teachers learn how to use robots to teach TEKS aligned lessons enriched with 21st century skills such as creativity, problem-solving and teamwork in an active learning environment. This learning experience provides teachers with the tools, including grant opportunities, they need to bring FIRST LEGO League and Tech Challenge (grades 4-12) into their district, classroom, or as an extracurricular activity. afternoon only session, 1-4pm.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
