From the Stars to the Periodic Table of Elements-STEAM (G/T credit)




Incorporate the arts while teaching science concepts.

Important Session Information:


This workshop includes hands-on projects that incorporate all STEAM components. The presentation includes drama, visual art, and music. These are integrated into engaging science projects. The topics are in alignment with 8th grade TEKS. Topics include the birth of a star, the life cycle of a star, characteristics of the Sun, the history of the periodic table of elements, the organization of the periodic table, characteristics of selected elements, and the structure of the atom. The goal is to present an orderly progression from the star life cycle to the periodic table of elements. This course will count as a six-hour G/T update.
