Module #1 Defining the Role of the Paraeducator (Online ONLY)Oct.14-Nov.22, 2019




The Paraeducator Training Modules are designed to provide consistent professional development training and to prepare Paraeducators for the ever changing roles they fill in the educational setting. There are six modules in the Paraeducator certification program. Upon completion of all six modules, Paraeducators will be eligible for a Micro-credential certificate along with up to 36 hours of CEU credit through Region 9 ESC.

This is one of six ONLINE modules for Paraeducator training. All modules are completed online ONLY. No face to face requirement.**Module #1 Defining The Role of The Paraeducator 10/14-11/22/19 The Paraeducator Training Modules are designed to provide consistent professional development training to prepare Paraeducators for the ever changing roles they fill in the educational setting. There are six modules in the Paraeducator Certification Program with this being the first. Upon completion of all six modules, Paraeducators will be eligible for a Micro-credential certificate along with up to 36 hours of CPE credit through Region 9 ESC.Changes in school communities have necessitated a change in Paraeducator roles. Today's Paraeducators are an integral and vital part of the instructional process. Therefore it is critical that Paraeducators receive professional development that prepares them for the complex tasks they will encounter.

  • There will be a $250 per day fee for out-of-region or non Region 9 District participants. If coop membership is required, there will be a $125 per day fee for non-coop participants.
