Special Education Fiscal Supports January 27, 2020 Webinar for Application Information: This correspondence provides notice that Education Service Center, Region 20 (ESC-20) will begin seeking applications from Local Education Agencies (LEAs) for participation in Special Education Fiscal Support funding offered in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency. As a direct result of Senate Bill 500, Special Education Fiscal Support aims to provide additional funding for eligible LEAs to secure evaluation staff, related services personnel, and/or special education teachers to fill short-term needs in the areas of initial evaluations, compensatory services, and extended school year services (ESY). The online application period for this funding support will be open from February 1-21, 2020. ESC-20 will hold a webinar on January 27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. to share application details.
