Comprehensive Needs Assessment and District/Campus Improvement Planning in the New ESSA Era

The Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) is the corner-stone of school improvement. Required by both state and federal mandates, the CNA drives the district and campus plan and determines the needs of the students, school, staff, and community.

Important Session Information:

TEA is paying careful attention to the link between the CNA, CIP, and federal and state funding. In this workshop, participants will learn how to conduct a thorough comprehensive needs assessment to identify areas of strengths and weaknesses to be addressed in the district/campus improvement plan. In addition, resources will be provided to ensure compliance with both federal and state requirements.
