Review and Support-TEA webinar

This session will introduce participants to TEA’s Differentiated Monitoring and Support (DMS) system for special education monitoring. Participants will gain an understanding of the required elements of special education monitoring, including the types and purposes of special education reviews and LEA may experience through the DMS system. Participants will engage in a deeper look into the LEA self-assessment, explore sources of evidence, guiding questions, compliance/strategy items, and quality levels and be able to complete the self-assessment and support ongoing LEA improvement efforts.

Important Session Information:

In this session, participants will explore the 2019-2020 continuous improvement process related to Results-Driven Accountability (RDA), including new guidelines from the Department of Review and Support, RDA Performance Levels and submission requirements, RDA resources, and the continuous improvement templates available for use in 2019-2020. After attending this session, participants will be able to answer the questions: What is the Strategic Support Plan (SSP)? What is the development process for the SSP? What does the SSP look like? For Region 9 Special Education Directors (ONLY)
