FULL LRE Exploring the Ideals That Unite Us (JULY 27 & 28) ONLINE

This session supports Social Studies teachers grades 6-12 via an online platform.
Important Session Information:
**Please note the delivery dates of this session: JULY 27 & 28**Participants must be available online from 10-11:30 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m. on BOTH days** This session supporting secondary social studies teachers allows for some self-paced and some instructor-led time. The two-day workshop "Exploring the Ideals That Unite Us: Being An American" offers an overview of civics with an introduction to the Founding Documents, an overview of the principles of the U.S. Constitution and of American Citizenship past and present by examining American heroes. Participants explore each principle through scholar presentations and lesson demonstrations from LRE consultants. This Institute provides teachers with an effective way to provide all levels of students with a better understanding of, and appreciation for American's unique system of government. This session counts for 12 hours of GT update credit.
