LRE Government Update (JULY 30 Date Change) ONLINE




This session supports Social Studies teachers grades 6-12 via an online platform.

Important Session Information:


**Please note the delivery date on July 30 (previously July 24)** **Participants MUST be online 10:00-11:30 a.m. AND 1:30 - 3:00 p.m.** Join Law-Related Education team in this one-day update designed to address different aspects of public policy and the impact of interest groups, political parties, and the media. Explore U.S. Supreme Court cases and learn how to engage students with simulations and interactive activities. This course is also aligned with the new AP Government redesign. This session will earn 12 hours of GT update credit. Participants MUST be online from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. AND 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. The remainder of the time will be self-paced. Participants must register with Region 9 AS WELL AS texaslre.org to be enrolled in the course.
