Let's Give Them Something To Talk About! Online Self Paced Math Course for Grades 6-8(June 1-July 24, 2020)




In order to be successful mathematicians students must be able to do more than produce an answer, they need to develop the skills to problem solve, reason, and justify and to do so fluently. Research has shown that one of the best ways to accomplish this is through Math Talks!

Important Session Information:


This course earns 6 GT hours for completion of online portion of the course. During this course participants will learn about strategies designed to engage students in rich mathematical communication and encourage all students to extend their learning through multiple entry tasks, including your highest level students. If you only try one new thing in your classroom to improve your instruction and your student's math skills, it needs to be THIS!
