FULL ONLINE Live Webinar - LRE: Hatton W. Sumners Institute: Liberty Kids - Grades 4-5 (July 23-24, 2020)




This two-day institute provides professional development for teachers incorporating these social studies concepts: community, government, and history through content-area literacy best practices. These concepts will be explored through reading/writing opportunities appropriate for 4th grade through 5th grade students. 

Important Session Information:


Participants registering for this institute should plan on being available for live sessions from 9:00 am - 10:30 am and 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm on July 23-24, 2020. Educators will have the opportunity to work at their own pace on portions of the institute, learn from scholars and consultants in live sesions, and demonstrate their learning through a variety of activities. The schedule for each day will be: Pre-Module Activity, Content and Pedagogy Live Sessions, Post-Activity, Curated Resources Please register for this session at www.texaslre.org to access this course and to receive your 12 hours of GT credit.
