Online CTE Welding Certification Training July 10,2020-Aug. 31, 2020




This Welding Certification training is a self-pace training program developed for new teachers with options for continued professional development for teacher needing refresher training. 

This training will provide Agriculture Welding teachers with a complete certification plan consisting of: 

  1. SMAW, GMAW and OAC theory classes online through the Canadian Welding Bureau, complete with quizzes, lessons, lectures, videos and even virtual reality practical exercises on their phone, tablet, PC, etc.…
  2. Self-study of American Welding Society D1.1 and D9.1 weld test lesson plans with open book online testing using welding code information and inspection tools.
  3. A 45 minute face call or video to review TEA and AWS certification requirements
  4. An AWS weld test via virtual video assessment.

This training class is self-paced and it is expected that completion could be done in three days however, teachers can take their time and space activities out over as much as 6 months if needed.
