Best Practices for English Learner Instruction (Canvas) September 1-30, 2020




This session is a component of the previous ESL Academy or a good refresher for current ESL certified teachers. The ESL Academy is a training for individuals that are interested in becoming ESL certified.

Important Session Information:


Participants will learn how to make linguistic accommodations according to language proficiency levels of ELs. We will explore instructional strategies and discuss how to increase language skills across all core areas. In order to be fully knowledgeable for the ESL Supplemental 154 Exam, it is recommended to participate in the following sessions: *Language Acquisition Theory *Stages of Language Development & Cultural Factors *Best Practices for EL Instruction *Bilingual & ESL Law
