This is a 5-day training on dyslexia intervention. Participants who successfully complete this training will be certified to teach the Reading by Design intervention program. 

This course requires attendance for 5 full days of training.  There is an assignment to be completed before the first day of class.  The class meets each day for half the day.  For each half day of class, there is a minimum of 3 hours of additional work outside of class. To pass the course and become certified to teach the program, participants must complete and submit assignments on time and pass the practicum.

*Participants who are in need of materials will receive the entire Reading by Design program with supplemental resources necessary for small group instruction.  If a campus already owns the materials that the teacher will be using for Reading by Design, participants will need to notify Dayla Ahrens at Region 9 by email (dayla.ahrens@esc9.net).  Each participant is required to have all program materials available for each class session.
