Bilingual & ESL Law




This session is a component of the old ESL Academy or a good refresher for current ESL certified teachers. The ESL Academy is a training for teachers that are interested in becoming ESL Certified.

Important Session Information:


Participants will review the laws which shaped bilingual education in Texas. We will review case laws which will be covered on the exam. We will also cover Chapter 89 and the requirements related to LPAC decisions. In order to be fully knowledgeable for the ESL Supplemental 154 Exam, it is recommended to participate in the following sessions: *Language Acquisition Theory. *Stages of Language Development & Cultural Factors. *Best Practices for EL Instruction. *Bilingual & ESL Law.
